Mixed Martial Arts
To win in anything takes dedication and commitment, combined with a lot of hard work and a bit of luck.
Our MMA program consists of strong mix of Brazilian style no-gi Jiu Jitsu, wrestling, boxing, and thai-boxing classes, combined with MMA specific classes to help tie it all together. MMA classes are taught by decorated professional MMA fighters who happen to also be very skilled at properly teaching students to learn quickly and use proven techniques that are effective and create wins in the cage.
One of our dearest friends who trained all of our coaches used to say: "Train hard, win easy." His philosophy is embodied in all that we do at Subfighter. Wether you are here to simply get in shape, or learn basic self defense, or to become a competitor, you will have the support of dedicated and committed coaches. They will show you not only how to work hard but also how to work smart, using proper techniques to help you avoid injury.

Classes
Subfighter is more than MMA. While mixed martial arts is an emerging discipline unto itself, Subfighter is very proud of the strength of all our core martial arts programs.
Our Brazilian style no-gi Jiu Jitsu classes are taught by black belt instructors. We also teach traditional and greco-roman wrestling and standard boxing. We have a great Muay Thai boxing program as well, with an excellent instructor who has led our students to many amateur Muay Thai competition victories.
All our programs are taught in a structured class setting that focuses on safe and healthy warm ups, instruction and drilling of techniques, usually followed by some level of sparring or "live" action for those that are interested in that. For those that are not - dont worry! You only do what you want to do - there is never pressure to push you beyond where you wish to go. Nearly every class will end with some form of warm down, calisthenics or body conditioning. If you show up - you will learn, have fun, and sweat a ton! See our schedule for details on class times

Private Lessons
Sometimes you need some one on one time.
We realize that for some people, group classes may not be enough to get to the level you seek, or right vehicle to reach their goals. That is why we developed our Private Lessons program. In Privates, you can focus on the area that is most important to you. We have students who take privates for: General Fitness & Strength Training, Boxing, Thai boxing, Jiu Jitsu, Wrestling, and MMA.
We offer Privates at all hours of the day and evening to suit your schedule and availability. To find out more about private lessons, simply call one of the coaches to get your questions answered.

As jiu-jitsu practitioners, we love that our art follows the principles of proper technique to achieve victory. However, when it comes to wrestling we often view it as purely physical: whoever is bigger, faster, and stronger will win. We overlook the fact that good wrestling is rooted in gaining leverage through superior positions, timing, and technique.
